Q: Who puts on Grill Games and who does it benefit?
A: Grill Games is put on by the Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce and the Kenosha YMCA. Proceeds from Grill Games benefit the Chamber and YMCA youth scholarship foundations.
Q: Is there any admission fee?
A: Entry to Grill Games is free!
Q: Are dogs allowed on festival grounds?
A: Unfortunately, due to the size of the crowds, pets are not allowed on the Grill Games grounds, with the exception of service animals with documentation. If you require the use of a service animal, we strongly encourage the use of an identifying vest, harness, cape, or leash, so other Grill Games attendees do not attempt to pet or play with your service animal. Please note that Grill Games security reserves the right to remove both animal and patron if the animal jeopardizes the safety of other Grill Games visitors, staff, or volunteers.
Q: What items are not allowed at Grill Games?
A: Please do not bring picnic baskets, coolers, pets (except service animals with documentation), illegal drugs or substances (obviously), alcoholic beverages of any kind, food, beverages, weapons (this includes guns, knives or anything that can be used as a weapon), filming/recording equipment, fireworks, laser pointers, or other carry-ins as determined by security.
Q: Can I ride my bicycle to Grill Games?
A: Absolutely! However, all bicycles must be locked up outside Grill Games. No bicycles will be permitted inside the Grill Games grounds.
Q: Where can I sample barbecue?
A: Kenosha’s Best BBQ Tasting will be on Friday from 5-8pm and the People’s Choice BBQ Tasting on Saturday from 2-4:30pm. Tasting cards for each of these competitions are $10 and can be purchased at Grill Games. There will also be food vendors selling BBQ (and other) food items throughout the day both days. Information on both tasting events and our food vendors can be found here.
Q: What is the rain policy?
A: The show must go on! In the event of rain, Grill Games festivities continue as normal. However, in the event of lightning, Grill Games will close temporarily. All attendees will be asked to leave the park, and when the lightning is safely past downtown Kenosha, Grill Games will re-open.
Q: Where can I park?
A: Street parking is available downtown, as well as several public surface parking lots. Kenosha’s iconic Streetcars will operate until the close of Grill Games Friday & Saturday, so anyone parking further away is encouraged to take the streetcar to the Grill Games front gate. A list of public parking lots and the streetcar route is available at the Downtown Kenosha website.
Q: What forms of payment are accepted?
A: Some of our vendors may take credit cards, but it’s a good idea to bring cash with you if you plan on buying any food or drink. There will also be an ATM available to our guests.
Q: I lost something. Where can I get it back?
A: The Grill Games lost and found is located at the Volunteer tent just inside the main gate. If you’re looking for something you lost at Grill Games after the event has ended, contact the Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce.
